Adding Self-Enrollment Method

Self enrolment is the method whereby users can choose to enrol themselves into a course, either immediately by clicking "enrol me in this course" or by typing in an enrolment key they have been given. The enrolment plugin needs to be enabled by the site admin in enrolment plugins and has to be enabled within the course. The manual enrolment plugin has to be enabled in the same course as well.

*Make Sure to Run a Course Reset Before Opening Your Course to New Students*

1: In the course settings block, click Users>Enrolment methods
2: Make sure self enrolment is enabled (has its eye open) and then click the edit icon on the right, if Self-Enrolment is not listed choose "Self-Enrolment" under Add method drop down.
3: You can leave "Custom instance name" blank
4: Make sure "Allow Self enrolments" is set to Yes
5: Leave all other options at Default
6: Type in your course enrolment key or password in the "Enrolment key" dialog
7: Fill in your Start date, leave End Date disabled. If not, your students will be un-enrolled on the date you specified.
8: Leave all other options set at Default
9: Scroll down and click "Save Changes"
